Coming October 22, 2023 | Open Wound
A queer horror novel that will challenge your perception of time, reality, and the existence of something greater than God...

I finally have a solid release date for Open Wound, which means it's also live for pre-order on Amazon! On October 22, 2023, it will be auto-delivered to everyone's Kindle who grabs a copy early. A paperback version will become available around release day as well.
Since I'm impatient and I'm so excited about how the paperback will look, here's a peek at the first chapter's design:

My anxiety is through the roof — both good and bad. Book releases are a chaotic time, and it's never easy to just release something into the wild you've poured your heart and soul into. I love this book though, and I hope everyone who decides to read it will enjoy it too. It’s very dark, I won’t lie, and I debated going a little gentler with the story, but that would've done it an injustice.
Mental illnesses, PTSD especially, can be brutal, and it wouldn't have felt right to deliver that message in a way that wasn't blunt and honest. Open Wound definitely goes harder than the first book in the series in that way, but that's the nature of it. It's unsettling, explicit, and dark for a reason. Not everyone can relate to healing with the light because some of us have been burned by it, so we turn to the dark, which is often familiar. There is healing to be had there, too.
If you haven't read about the book yet, you can find its page here, which includes a trailer, a summary, and content warnings as well as a few extra fun things.
The best way to support the book, and me, right now is to pre-order! The more pre-orders a book has, the more it’s lifted out of the void, which is a huge task for a smaller self-published author. So be sure to pass on the word, especially to people who you think might dig a book like this one. (Send them over to my newsletter too!)
I'll send another poke when the book is finally released. Here's to another exciting October 💀
